A People for a Purpose - Membership and the Family of God (1 Peter 2:9)
Pastor Matt Hilbert - In 1 Peter 2:9 we see that through Christ, we not only become a new persons, but a new people - part of the family of God. In our text we see how God in his grace has made us to be as the people of God. And we also find that we are made into the people of God for a purpose - so that, as we live out that identity, we might proclaim the excellencies of God to the world.
