Answer to prayer in England

December 22nd, 2011

Thank you to those who were praying for the vote in England in the House of Lords.  Here is an update from Cliff (he and his wife Ali are serving in England) regarding the outcome of the vote.  This very important vote would have possibly forced churches who performed marriage ceremonies to perform marriage ceremonies for homosexuals.

“In the event, the amendment was not taken to a vote. The government re-affirmed its intention that churches wishing to opt out of the new regulations should be able to do so, and Lord Henley, the Home Office minister, stated that section 202 of the Equality Act fully safeguarded such churches. It was on this basis that the amendment was withdrawn.”

Praise the Lord for answered prayer in leaving the freedom of choice to the churches of England!

December 19th, 2011

Short Term Missions: For Everyone

October 21st, 2011

“DECLARE HIS GLORY amoung the nations, HIS MARVELOUS DEEDS amoung all peoples” Psalm 96:3

”If you are thinking about missions, go.  If you have never been on a short term missions trip, go.  See what is out there….Expand your worldview and see how God is working around the world.”  - Leah Schwartz, SEND International missionary to Ukraine.

This coming Sunday we are going to take a deeper look at short term missions.  We will explore options, hear from personal experiences and see pictures from members of our church who have taken the steps to go on short term missions trips.  Missions is for everyone and you can be a part of sending someone or going yourself.

Join us at 6:00 this coming Sunday Oct. 23 to hear more about Short Term Missions.  See you there!
