AWANA: What a Night!

December 11th, 2011

Last wednesday evening was “Go Fish” night for the T&T group.  The purpose was to see how many sections the clubbers could do to get caught up.  For an incentive we offered one prize for each section said.  We also increased the nightly limit from 4 sections to 8 sections.  We brought in extra “listeners” to help us.

There were 2 things that we can get excited about:

  1. We had a new high attendence count for T&T.  We had 35 kids attend last night.
  2. We had a total of 103 sections said.  With an average of 1 to 2 Bible verses per section I figure the clubbers recited over 175 verses last night to the leaders.  This was our first time doing this promotion and you can be sure we will try it again!

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
Psalm 119:11

Thanks to Robin and the whole T&T leaders group for their participation last night!

To God be the glory, great things he has done!

AWANA: What a Workshop!

December 7th, 2011

For those involved in the Grand Prix, thanks to those who made an effort to come out Saturday to the breakfast/kickoff/workshop! We fed over twenty people and a more than ten cars were started! I am always excited and also apprehensive on what ideas kids are going to come up with for their car designs. Guys stick mostly with car/truck themes and the girls come up with non car ideas. We won’t even start with what the dads think of! All are very interesting to say the least!

The Grand Prix is open to all T&T clubbers which is from the 3rd grade to 6th grade!

The next workshop is in 2 weeks (December 17th) in the basement. It is not too late to start a car. You will be glad you did!

If you have questions please email Dave at dpherson@gmail.com and I will get back to you.

Kids Kamp was a success

August 1st, 2011

Thanks to all the volunteers and kids that came out for Kids Kamp this year.  We had a great 5 days– even if the weather was boiling hot on Thursday :)   Looking forward to seeing all the kids back for our AWANA Clubs on Wednesday nights starting in the fall!
